You are starting to use LED lighting in your home and so are owners of Habitat for Humanity homes. Lighting manufacturers are eager to get their LED bulbs out to consumers and they are doing so through donations. Recently Cree, a LED lighting manufacturer in North Carolina, sponsored the construction of a local Habit house. Cree’s energy efficient lights will save the homeowner $250 of electricity each year. To keep up with competition and get into households, they have pledged $1.5 million to provide LED lights in the kitchens of every Habit house built in the U.S. for the next 3 years. As supporters of Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County we are excited to know Habit homeowners will be able to save with LED lights.
