Are you thinking about updating the lighting inside your dining room? Wondering what kind of light fixtures should be in your dining room? Check out these great tips, courtesy of the American Lighting Association, on ensuring your dining room has the right kind of lighting.
- If you don’t already have one, consider purchasing a chandelier to hang in your dining room. A chandelier can prove to be both beautiful and functional, serving as a gorgeous decorative element inside the room but also a fixture that provides both task and accent lighting.
- Flank your sideboard or buffet with wall sconces on either side of it. These wall sconces should complement (not clash with) your dining room chandelier.
- Highlight your most favorite decorative fixtures and possessions inside your dining room with recessed or track lighting. Recessed or track lighting provides excellent ambient lighting inside a room.
- If you have any hanging artwork inside your dining room, you can spotlight it with picture lights or recessed adjustable light fixtures.
