• If you don’t already have one, consider purchasing a chandelier to hang in your dining room. A chandelier can prove to be both beautiful and functional, serving as a gorgeous decorative element inside the room but also a fixture that provides both task and accent lighting.

• Flank your sideboard or buffet with wall sconces on either side of it. These wall sconces should complement (not clash with) your dining room chandelier.

• Highlight your most favorite decorative fixtures and possessions inside your dining room with recessed or track lighting. Recessed or track lighting provides excellent ambient lighting inside a room.

• If you have any hanging artwork inside your dining room, you can spotlight it with picture lights or recessed adjustable light fixtures.
